Terms and Conditions

Article 1 Facility & Exploitation

Siemens offers its employees the option to participate in Health and Fitness activities. High Five Health Promotion B.V. (High Five) offers this service.

Article 2 Participants

The following individuals can participate in Health and Fitness activities:

Permanent or temporary employees of Siemens
In case of exceptions Siemens decides on participation.

Article 3 Registration

Registration for participation in health and fitness activities is done digitally via High Five Connect. Participants can register at https://siemens.highfive.fit/de/mitglied-werden and view their test data, invoices, direct debit authorizations, training programs, bookings, and opening hours on their personal page in High Five Connect. High Five operates in accordance with the GDPR. During registration, the new participant will explicitly be asked to consent to the processing of personal data. They will also be asked to agree to the health agreement and house rules.

Article 4 Start of participation

Before starting the training program, High Five recommends conducting a fitness test. As part of the check-up, High Five will carry out a medical history. If no serious or significant physical limitations arise from the medical questionnaire, participation in health and fitness activities can begin immediately.

Article 5 Reporting injuries

If a participant is aware of an injury or other wound, he/she must report this to a High Five employee prior to the workout in compliance with the Health Commitment Statement.

Article 6 Liability

Participation in High Five activities is entirely at the participant's own risk. Siemens or High Five cannot be held liable for material, personal, or other damages, including loss or theft, unless it results from malfunctioning equipment due to improper maintenance or inadequate safety supervision in this area. All equipment must only be used for its intended purpose. Each member is required to familiarize themselves with the operating instructions and usage guidelines before using any training equipment, especially if they are unsure. In case of uncertainty, particularly before first using a device, instruction from the fitness center operator or their staff should be sought. All facilities, training equipment, and training areas must be treated with care. Members must refrain from making unnecessary noise, causing disturbances, or endangering other members.

Information on Locker Use:
Lockers may only be used during your time at the fitness studio; usage beyond this is not permitted. Locker keys can be collected from the trainer's office during supervised hours (Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Outside these hours, members can obtain and return keys at the reception desk. Keys must be returned promptly after studio use without being requested. In case of loss, staff must be informed immediately; the member will bear the cost of replacement. If lockers are not emptied upon leaving the studio, the contents will be cleared at the member’s expense. The fitness studio assumes no liability for personal belongings stored in the lockers.

Article 7 Reporting defects and malfunctions

If a participant notices that equipment is not functioning properly, he/she will report this to the High Five employee immediately.

Article 8 Hygiene

Using a towel during training is required. Each participant must clean and/or tidy up the equipment and materials after use. Clean training clothes and indoor shoes must be worn. Training on the training floor with flip-flops, barefoot, or with open-toed shoes is not permitted. Wearing sandals in wet areas is recommended. We ask that all rooms be left clean and tidy, and that all items be removed from lockers when training is finished. Lockers cannot be reserved. High Five reserves the right to remove abandoned items from lockers and rooms.

Article 9 Food and drinks

It is prohibited to eat in the workout areas. Chewing gum is prohibited during workouts. Drinking in the workout area is only permitted from your own sports bottle.

Article 10 Opening hours

During opening hours (Monday – Sunday 00:00 – 24:00), all members can use the fitness facilities without restriction. Supervised opening hours and activities are displayed on the personal page in High Five Connect. During holiday periods, an alternative schedule may be applied. Participants can register for group classes and other activities in High Five Connect. If a participant cannot attend a group class, they are required to cancel their booking at least one hour before the class begins to allow other members to attend.

From Monday to Friday (Mon-Thurs: 7:00 - 20:00; Fri: 7:00 - 16:00), the Active Studio offers supervised hours. During this time, a fitness trainer will be available to assist members if needed.

During unsupervised hours, when no High Five Health Promotion staff member is present, the following procedure applies from 19:30 (or if it is foreseeable that the training will last longer than until 20:00):

The studio member registers at the reception on the ground floor.
The studio member card is shown, and the Siemens employee ID is handed over.
The member is registered on the check-in list at the reception, confirming and accepting the house rules.
In exchange, a key card is issued.
This card grants access to the studio. Entering the studio activates all security systems. Training during this time is at the participant's own risk.
After training, the key card is returned at reception, and the employee receives their ID back.
Article 11 Schedule changes

With the consent of Siemens, High Five can make schedule changes.

Article 12 Payment of personal contribution

Fees for Health and Fitness activities must be paid by means of direct debit. If payment is made by direct debit, a direct debit mandate must also be signed prior to participation. Recurring payments for Health and Fitness Activities (e.g. membership costs) shall be paid in advance. An increase in membership costs will be announced at least 2 weeks in advance.

The monthly membership fee for using the fitness studio is €33.00. By agreeing to the house rules, you consent to salary deductions. If the fee is paid by direct debit, a direct debit authorization must be signed before participation. The fees for bookings (e.g., membership fees) are paid in advance.

A deposit of €10.00 is charged for the membership card. This will be refunded upon cancellation of membership and return of the card.

In case of loss, a new membership card will be issued for a fee.

Article 13 Termination

Notice periods and durations:

The monthly membership for studio use is automatically extended by one month after the initial term, unless a written cancellation is received.

10-visit passes are paid in a one-time payment and cannot be canceled after the first training session has been used. The member is responsible for checking in before training. The check-in system automatically deducts the balance from the membership card.

The membership can be canceled with one month's notice. Cancellations must be received by High Five no later than one month before the end of the month. The cancellation must be sent by email to fitnesssiemens@highfive.fit. High Five must receive the cancellation before the first of the month. Cancellations received after the last day of the month will be processed in the following month. Each participant is asked to provide a reason for cancellation. The received emails will be confirmed and processed by High Five. In the case of injury and/or pregnancy, membership can be temporarily paused.

The membership can also be paused or terminated if:

You provide written proof of injury/illness or
You provide proof that your residence and work location have moved to another location, making it impossible to train.
Article 14 Complaints and/or suggestions for improvements

High Five has a complaints procedure, if a participant has complaints and/or suggestions for improvement, these can be reported directly to the High Five employees who will ensure that the complaint is handled and registered. Complaints and suggestions can also be passed on via the website: https://www.highfive.fit/en/suggestion-or-complaint.

Article 15 Photo and videos

Taking photos and making video recordings are not permitted without written permission from the communication department of High Five and Siemens.

Article 16 Rules

Each participant is deemed to have taken notice of the content of these regulations. The current regulations can be viewed at any time via the personal page https://siemensag.virtuagym.com/webshop/terms-and-conditions. High Five and Siemens reserve the right to adjust the house rules.

Article 17 Unforeseen circumstances

In cases not provided for in these rules, a decision shall be taken by High Five/Siemens.
